The Red Baron! March 24

Manfred "The Red Baron" von Richthofen is buried a few miles from our flat. Who knew? The Red Baron was a WWI German Fight Pilot Flying Ace. Perhaps the most famous military aviator from WWI, he was credited with shooting down 80 Allied aircraft. He was shot down by Allied ground fire only two weeks before his 26th birthday. He was given a funeral with full military honors by the Allied forces.
