The Imperial Castle is the symbol of Nürnberg. Since the Middle Ages its silhouette has represented the power and importance of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation and the outstanding role of the imperial city of Nürnberg. During the Middle Ages Nürnberg ranked as the "most distinguished, best located city of the realm." As it happens, we visited during the historical Easter Market. The Easter market is considered one of the oldest and most beautiful in the region dating back to 1424 when it was first recognized as such. We visited the castle, the chapel in old town and the market place.
Another really great day.
